Getting the cute pictures is worth the little they may tear up - although someone did tear every bit of the brand new insulation Bob had put in the pumphouse years ago - that one wasn't very nice!RainGardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14071017261791897927noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3463455126326179974.post-83343577152693620882009-06-14T11:08:26.602-04:002009-06-14T11:08:26.602-04:00Dear Robin, please let me know if you need more sq...Dear Robin, please let me know if you need more squirrels. Others tend to hate them. I know mine have torn up a few flimsy bird feeders here and there, but I don't mind too much.Benhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13264259786974905858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3463455126326179974.post-18497469799163873122009-06-13T21:57:20.162-04:002009-06-13T21:57:20.162-04:00They lull us into thinking they are cute! Then you will have wonderful photos of them doing daring acrobatics and hanging by one toe nail
to reach a seed. You are in store for endless hours of entertainment. I say get them a feeder and keep it stocked so they might leave the bird's food alone. However, I would LOVE to bring you some of my many squirrels. I have the little red one that's on your feeder...he WILL return with all his kin folk! They will tell all the others about your feeder. If you put up baffles, one of them will eventually find a workaround and blab it to all the others.NCmountainwomanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00615765649828716560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3463455126326179974.post-91781752401220628602009-06-12T15:44:26.249-04:002009-06-12T15:44:26.249-04:00Good luck with the squirrels.I like the purple spi...Good luck with the squirrels.I like the purple spiky flowers.Sorry I don't have a name for them.
Blessings,RuthRuth's Photo Bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10906250839947271541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3463455126326179974.post-85712420878995958492009-06-12T10:59:23.230-04:002009-06-12T10:59:23.230-04:00Hi Robin! I didn't see squirrels either when I first moved in (eight years ago) but after feeding the birds for a few years, word got around and they started showing up. I figured they just migrated over from the older part of the neighborhood? I don't have too many (last winter I saw three at once, which was a first) so IKathleenhttp://kaseyskorner.typepad.com/kaseys_korner/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3463455126326179974.post-90333302184497556632009-06-12T10:00:36.431-04:002009-06-12T10:00:36.431-04:00It took about 10 years for squirrels to arrive in ...It took about 10 years for squirrels to arrive in our subdivision. I love the female cardinal. Looks like she has had a bad day in the nest and is daring anyone to come eat while she is there.beckiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06400859161321357279noreply@blogger.com
