Glad to see there are other fans of blue jays...they always make me chuckle to hear them, and that flash of blue is a real cheer me up on a grey day. Likewise, the doves are so gentle looking. We have 12-14 that visit here daily, and I love them like they were part of the family. There was a blue jay in my yard today and I could not believe the range of noises he was making. Very similar to the mockingbird, I thought. He was very hard to photograph, though, as he kept hiding in the oak tree leaves.Patriciahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10435071269417046903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3463455126326179974.post-87801939456590141692008-02-22T17:59:00.000-05:002008-02-22T17:59:00.000-05:00I adore bird pictures. I have been watching the birds out the window today thinking how much better the sparrows and brownish birds would show up on the ground if there was snow instead of mulch. I love to look at them. We have been bird poor here except for a few sparrows and starlings. I don't know where they are all hiding. Some one else must have better bird seed than I do. Aren't blue jays the funniest creatures. They remind me of a cantankerous old man. Not much pleases them and they like to holler a lot!beckiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06400859161321357279noreply@blogger.com
