Shirl, and Layanee are posting on ornamental grasses this weekend and inviting others to join in the fun. I posted on July 30 about my grasses but very few of them were blooming at that time.
It is very breezy and sometimes downright windy where I live and I love to watch the grasses sway in the breeze.
Since my post in July, I have added three more grasses to my collection, so now I've got twenty-eight.

Carol, you have to remember that my yard backs up to an ugly playground area and the kids walk and ride bicycles through my yard. It's called desperation. Then again, maybe I do need intervention.

ReplyDeletePam, the grasses do provide screening and they also provide a visual resting place. I used to gaze past my yard and see only the ugly playground. Now my eyes tend to focus on the beauty in my own yard.
What a good idea -the swaying motion in the wind would blur the background, I guess? I looked at the other post, too, Robin, and remembered how my Illinois miscanthus were tied into gigantic sheaves with red ribbons for holiday decorations - it also kept them upright, which was a plus.
