Spring for the Day Part 1

Today I went to the Indiana Flower and Patio Show, where spring is definitely in the air. Usually about this time of year I am so sick of winter and very desperate for spring, the Flower and Patio show is like a mini spring vacation that helps me make it through the rest of the winter.

During early spring in Tuscaloosa, Alabama azaleas are in bloom everywhere. There aren't that many here in Indy and it is one of the things I really, really miss from home. The Flower and Patio Show is where I go to get my spring azalea fix.

I don't have a lot of commentary to offer on the pictures tonight. I'm pretty tired, and having trouble even thinking what to say, so I leave you with spring eye-candy. Enjoy!

  1. Very pretty, and I bet it smelled good, too. I don't know if I'll make it to the show this year, so it's nice to see some pictures of it.

  3. What a treat to be able to see so many flowers blooming in the last throes of winter. I love hyacinths and tulips, we can see the buds within the leaves now, it won't be long. But like you, those azaleas steal one's heart, especially the decidous types, my most favorite. I guess that should be my favorite flower on the Blotanical site! Thanks for the tour of the show. Wish we had one to attend.

  5. Oooooo you got some great shots Robin. Love seeing all that color. Did you bring home a bouquet of some of those tulips they were selling? I wanted to go back around an get some but didn't get to do so. I might have to go to our florist and get a hand full.

  6. Robin, what wonderful cheerful photos to wake up my sleep head. This daylight savings time is always rough the first few days but my eyes popped open at the sight of those beautiful photos.

  10. Just what the doctor ordered...a good dose of spring and blooms. We'll make it, Robin. It's been a long hard winter, for a lot of people, but we'll make it through.
