Purple Wave PetuniaI worked outside most of the day yesterday and somehow hurt my back. It was probably when I dug out the three arborvitae and carried them across the yard and replanted them. I forget that I need to ease into the gardening season. My time is more limited right now and I wanted to get so much accomplished. I did get a lot done, but boy did I ever pay for it today.
My neighbor put her hummingbird feeder out yesterday and had hummers visit today. I immediately washed and refilled my feeder, hopefully they will visit me tomorrow.
Robin, yor photos are lovely. My salvia is so close, but no blooms yet. It is hard not to over do isn't it!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful blooms Robin. Take care of your back. It seems like when I hurt mine it takes a long time for it to heal. Of course I am much older than you. Ha...The only thing good about that is that I can blame age for about anything happening to me. tee hee

ReplyDeleteSuzyq, I had already filled mine once, but it wasn't closed properly and all dripped out. I wish I had taken care of that problem sooner, but I really didn't think they would be here this early.
Lisa, thank you. I've had some issues with my back before and try to be careful. When something is wrong in the back it really can limit you and that is not good at this time of the year.

ReplyDeleteI put out my hummer feeder too, I haven't seen any yet, but then again I've been busy too and haven't kept a look out for them.
Everything looks great Robin! What kind of salvia is that? We have three varieties of Salvia nemorosa that are all blooming prolifically. They are great garden plants since they are so easy to care for.

ReplyDeleteRick, I rarely ever use a tripod or monopod. Occasionally I will have the camera on the tripod in front of the window to capture hummingbirds at the feeder.I have experimented with them but find both to be a hindrance for me.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blooms - the Lilacs have started blooming around here, but I'm still waiting for my next-door neighbor's Lilac to bloom. I sympathize with your back problems. I also hurt my back a long time ago & now I have to be so careful. I nearly wrenched it again yesterday moving huge bags of potting soil.

ReplyDeleteI thought about you today because I got my first bird feeder. My oldest son gave it to me. I had cardinals already. I hope my pictures will turn out half as good as yours. They are so stunning. I like your little George above too and glad to see not all the frogs have left your neighborhood.
