Robin, every time I go to the zoo I don't find the time to see the butterfly exhibit. Your post has me wanting to go back and spend the day there. Just amazing photos!
How cool. You got some beautiful photos, capturing them with their camo in full force. I love the shot of all the chrysalises, I'll have to show this post to my daughter (5) who is all about butterflies at this point in her little life. They raise and released some at school this year and it was a great lesson on nature. Thanks for taking us with you on the tour. Maybe we will go over there for a visit when we're in Arcadia in June -- you've given me a great field trip idea.
Oh these pictures are beautiful! I have been trying to plan a time to take my daughter to the zoo and now after seeing your pics I will put it off no longer , LOL
Vonlafin, I went a year ago and was looking forward to the trip back more than the kids.
Jayne, I like to call the flutterbys too!
Melanie, I could have skipped the zoo and spent the day with the butterflies and in the gardens. They did have the new koala at the zoo though, that was a must see.
Diana, you're coming in June?! Your daughter would love the butterfly exhibit!
Karen, we had a wonderful, fun day. I wish I had little children again so I could go more often!
That must have been a great photo experience. I've always wanted to go to one of the special butterfly gardens. There's a place on Mackinac Island in Michigan that I may get to someday.
I went to that exhibit a few years ago, your pictures make me want to return!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a beautiful collection of flutterbys!

ReplyDeleteRobin, excellent pictures! Isn't it amazing the variety of them. Almost like snowflakes-no two alike.
ReplyDeleteI just love these butterfly exhibits Robin. Your pictures certainly do the butterflies justice. I would enjoy a day at the exhibit too.
ReplyDeleteYou got some great shots, Robin. There's a butterfly exhibit in Houston I like to visit. It's fun to see those unusual butterflies.
