Blue Angels
The weekend that we arrived in Tuscaloosa, the Blue Angels were there to perform. I was hoping that Daddy would feel like going to see them, but he didn't. Of course I had taken my camera with me to Tuscaloosa and I was itching to go just to try and get some photographs of them. I had no desire to get into the crowd of people that gathered for the event, and it was quite a crowd! My mother and I parked near the airport. The spot was not the greatest due to some power lines that were in the way, but I was pleased with some of my shots. Considering how fast they fly, to even get anything in focus was a victory for me.
The Blue Angels are awesome! If they are ever in your area try to see them in action!
Robin,
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear of your father's battle. I'm wishing him a speed recovery.--Randy
Those Blue Angels are really something and you got some great photos of them Robin!
ReplyDeleteRobin .. great pictures ! We saw them perform while we lived on Vancouver Island .. they were amazing : )
ReplyDeleteCanada has the Snow Birds and they are pretty darn good themselves!LOL
Hope your father feels better soon !
I've seen them Robin they are something else! Fantastic photos..my friend, you are good! I am hoping your dad is improving with each passing day! gail
ReplyDeleteLooks so patriotic. You did a great job capturing the best moments of flight. You and Joey have the best collages in blogland.
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking about you and your dad a great deal. Hoping he has a great week.
Great photos, Robin. Prayers are soaring like the Blue Angels for both you and your Dad.
ReplyDeleteGreat photographs. That's the beauty of air shows...you can view them from so many places. We used to watch them perform over the lakefront in Milwaukee. What a show!
ReplyDeleteWow .. once in a while, it's good to see something different among all the beautiful flowers. Like those machines in the air. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteI'm praying for your dad's health ...
Are you kidding me? These photos are wonderful, those dang planes fly!!!!
ReplyDeleteRobin,
ReplyDeleteI have your post set to send me update emails. I see you've been victimized by the same "Zombie" idiot that has been spamming us too. How JUVENILE! I thought to begin with they were just posting on out blog. BTW, you can delete this if you like; I was merely making an observation and ranting a little.
A different kind of bird, 'eh Robin?~~Dee
ReplyDeleteI love airshows! They are really hard to capture photographically but you've done it so well. The mosaic makes me feel as if I was there.
ReplyDeleteCindy
Things must be looking up with your dad. I'm glad to see you back.

Awesome photos. The Blue Angels were in town here last year. I wasn't able to go to the airport because of my work schedule. However, we sat on our deck and watched them arrive in town and rehearse. It was incredible to see and hear.
ReplyDeleteYou took some fantastic shots there, Robin! You're doing so well with that camera!! Capturing a bird in flight is still one of my goals. The Blue Angels would be very difficult and you did it so well:-)
ReplyDeleteThey put on a fantastic show, and I think your shots are amazing, Robin. Glad you could get out a bit and take it in, but sorry that your dad didn't feel up to joining you.
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job photographing them Robin. The first year we moved into our house, they came and put on three air shows at the little airport behind our house. I didn't know they were going to do that so imagine our shock when the sound barrier was broken one quiet afternoon when they started practicing! It was pretty amazing to have ring side seats tho!
