  2. Really cool photos Robin. Do the eyes look odd to anyone else?

  4. Wonderful images Robin! Your photos are always a treat... and I love bees. I agree with Janet, the eyes look different from the bees I have here, and I was wondering why? Maybe wild bees, instead of farmed? I know that the ones I have in my garden are from the organic farm just up the hill. They are brought in there by an apiarist. Tall white boxes of them. I plant flowers and herbs they can't resist, so they'll come on over and help my raspberries. (:

  5. This is such a great photo Robin. It looks as though the bee is keeping an eye on you.

Would you mind if I paint this photo?? I am doing a series of bees on flowers. Yours has those wonderful fall colors.

  6. Thank you all for the comments! Janet, I'm not sure what kind of bees these are, but they are very small and usually covered in pollen.

Lisa, I would be delighted if you chose a picture of mine to paint! I saw the painting you did of the flower and bee that Frances had submitted to Gardening Gone Wild. It was beautiful!

  8. What great shots Robin! My Gallardia is looking a bit weary from this past month. With things cooling off a bit I'm wondering if it will bounce back now. :)
