Wonderful images Robin! Your photos are always a treat... and I love bees. I agree with Janet, the eyes look different from the bees I have here, and I was wondering why? Maybe wild bees, instead of farmed? I know that the ones I have in my garden are from the organic farm just up the hill. They are brought in there by an apiarist. Tall white boxes of them. I plant flowers and herbs they can't resist, so they'll come on over and help my raspberries. (:
Thank you all for the comments! Janet, I'm not sure what kind of bees these are, but they are very small and usually covered in pollen.
Lisa, I would be delighted if you chose a picture of mine to paint! I saw the painting you did of the flower and bee that Frances had submitted to Gardening Gone Wild. It was beautiful!
What great shots Robin! My Gallardia is looking a bit weary from this past month. With things cooling off a bit I'm wondering if it will bounce back now. :)
Great shots robin. This gaillardia is my favorite and sadly i am yet to catch an insect on it. your pics have increased my quest and now i am gearing towards spending more time catching some bees, butterflies on this bi-color gaillardia.
Very cool photos, Robin.
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are stunning both in beauty and clarity.

Really cool photos Robin. Do the eyes look odd to anyone else?
