Smoking Birds!

It was so cold this morning that you could see the breath of the cardinals and blue jays!

I didn't notice it on any of the smaller birds at the feeders.

It looked like they were smoking!

  8. Fabulous. It has been very cold here and the birds have been visiting the feeders all day.

  9. Adorable...winter is a great time for observing the birds - there is so little to distract from their beauty. We have a fountain that the lesser goldfinch have been coming to regularly and there is nothing better than taking a seat at the window and watching them frolic!

  11. That's one thing I don't think I've ever seen! We don't get much below freezing here.

  12. Amazing photos, Robin! This certainly has been a cold, snowy winter so far. Sitting inside with a cup of hot coffee or tea sounds like a great way to watch the birds this winter. Stay warm!
