As I was reading outside on my patio swing I just happened to catch this hummingbird preening. As much as I've watched them over the years, I don't think I have even seen one fan its tail feathers quite like this.
I apologize again for my absence. It has been a busy and sad spring/summer. We have just kind of been in survival mode for the last few months. I haven't wanted to blog about such personal things, maybe one of these days I will, but not until I can make sense of it and we are on the other side of it.
In the meantime, thank you for your patience with my very sporadic posts.
It is always good to hear from you no matter how much time between posts. Sometimes we need time to heal from emotional trauma.
ReplyDeleteThe picture of the hummer is beautiful backlit.
I was so happy to see a post from you in my reader and to find such a stunning photo, as well. What a great capture, Robin.
ReplyDeleteI was not so happy to read of your continued sadness...while thanking God for sending you that hummingbird...surely it was a gift from His hand?
I love you, Robin...and will continue to remember you in prayer...that you would find peace and comfort through these struggles.

What a great photo! I'm not certain I've ever seen them preen like this - they are usually just glaring at me like they wish I'd go away so they could eat in peace! Sorry to hear of your troubles. I hope you find some peace.
