This was just a test to see how uploading a picture from Photobucket works.
Vanillalotus commented that she uploaded her pictures from Photobucket; I have a photobucket account but have never used it to upload pictures on my blog. I like the way it works better than uploading from Flicker. This probably will be my new uploading method. Now I need to go back and see if I'm still accumulating storage space on Picasa. Thanks so much, ladies, for your help.
Gorgeous photo.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lisa. This is my first year to grow lavender. Well, actually I tried to grow it once before in Alabama and it promptly died without even a single fragrant bloom, so it doesn't count. I planted six, and this time it seems to be doing well.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty photo....both the lavender and the background!
ReplyDeleteYour welcome I hope it works well for you. I haven't had any issues with it and it's easy for me to just copy and paste and organize my photos.
ReplyDeleteWe need a scratch and sniff monitor to appreciate it fully, Lisa!
ReplyDeleteThe whole photo thing makes me curious, so I've been reading the last few posts, trying to figure out how you could have run out of space so quickly... mine are kept on my computer and I've only used 4% of my space in a year-and-a-half of blogging.
I think I get it now - tell me if this sounds right:
Most of your older pre-Picassa photos enlarged automatically when clicked and the right-click properties box told me they were in a very large size. My photos are in a much smaller format - maybe that's why so few enlarge when clicked?
I noticed that some of your older photos were 80 times as big as mine, pixel-ly speaking. So you used up your quota faster, but that's also why so many of your pictures were gorgeously detailed when enlarged!
The lavender photo doesn't enlarge when clicked - it just goes to the Picassa sign-up page. This is all very interesting.
Annie at the Transplantable Rose
Annie, I think you are on to something. I just assumed that Adobe Photoshop reduced the size automatically. But now that you mention it, my pictures are huge when you click on them. Maybe if I go back and resize and repost some of them it will free up a significant amount of storage space. I'll try a few and see what happens. Thank you so much for your help.
