I've seen this quote by Hal Borland several times recently. After the snow and bitter cold temperatures this past week I needed another reminder. I'm very tired of winter and so ready for spring!
Thank you all for your sweet and thoughtful comments. Your joy and relief over the new job has truly warmed my heart. It is so incredible to have people, most that you've never even met, pulling for you and rejoicing with you. You all are amazing!

Very true! And I'm so glad to hear your good news about your hubby's job, Robin. Like I said, one door closes, another opens. No winter lasts forever, indeed.
Thanks so much for that reminder
Blessings,Ruth
Robin thank you so much for the blog info. I am so happy that things are looking up again for you & your hubby. Have I told you lately how much I enjoy your blog !! It is always so bright and lovely.
Spring is just around the corner...
Spring is right around the corner, thanks for the reminder!
Only 60 days until Spring! :-)

It's good news indeed about your hubby's new position -- and thanks very much for the timely reminder about how short winter, and all seasons, really are.
Hang in there Robin. Winter will pass and you will be busy with spring chores.
Most of us could use that reminder Robin! It seems to drag on and on, doesn't it? So glad things worked out for your family. The Internet really is an amazing connector. Happy thoughts of Spring!
Robin,
Like you I am trying to "think spring" as I am sick and tired of winter also. I need the rejuvenation that spring always gives me.
Congrats on your husband's good luck in finding a new job. Times are stressful enough without a major blow like being laid off.
Nice post and quote about spring...thanks for sharing it.

So true Robin, here's hoping your Spring is as wonderful as it can be :-D
If you are feeling like thinking about plants my recent posting might be
something that might interest you :-D

Great news, Robin. So happy for you and your family. May many blessings be yours in this new year.
I'm so happy to hear the great news! Too bad I can't bottle up some of our sunshine for a congratulatory gift and send it your way. Wish I could figure out how. ;)

Robin, I am very impressed with how you have set up your blog! The pictures are fabulous AND the way you've positioned them is wonderfully creative.
I was getting ready to give up on Blogspot as I've had so much trouble with trying to upload images...your blog gives me hope that it is possible! I just have to figure out how.
Hi Robin,
I've just been doing some catching up on your beautiful blog. All the bird photos and your staged wreath are wonderful. If I put out all that yummy stuff for my birds the squirrels would have a field day and there'd be nothing left for my feathered friends. Mostly I have to stick with squirrel proof (what is that?) feeders... not too much on the pretty side. sigh.
Glad to hear the news of your husband's quick turn around. Always happy to hear when folks aren't first looking to the government for answers. We are a strong nation that will turn around... we just have to keep being strong. My prayers will be with your family for continued blessings.
As for winter, well, we are just getting a big visit from old man winter down here... last night and tonight it is colder than it has been in years. But ordinarily winter is my favortie time of the year. I've got to get busy right now outside trying to cover up loads of tender plants in anticipation of the freeze tonight... I better get busy.
Have a great day enjoying those birds! Spring is on its way!

I make it through the winter knowing the warblers will return in the spring!
Dear Robin,

Hope you are able to get outside this weekend and take a long walk. I too weary of the cold.
Namaste,
Sherry
