Wonderful images Robin! Your photos are always a treat... and I love bees. I agree with Janet, the eyes look different from the bees I have here, and I was wondering why? Maybe wild bees, instead of farmed? I know that the ones I have in my garden are from the organic farm just up the hill. They are brought in there by an apiarist. Tall white boxes of them. I plant flowers and herbs they can't resist, so they'll come on over and help my raspberries. (:

What great shots Robin! My Gallardia is looking a bit weary from this past month. With things cooling off a bit I'm wondering if it will bounce back now. :)
Great shots robin. This gaillardia is my favorite and sadly i am yet to catch an insect on it. your pics have increased my quest and now i am gearing towards spending more time catching some bees,butterflies on this bi-color gaillardia.
