There are so many robins this winter; more than I have ever seen! I don't recall seeing this many at one time, even during spring. I picked up my daughter from work yesterday and the trees were full of robins! It was a frigid day with single digit temperatures and wind chills below zero. The robins were all puffed up trying to keep warm. They look so fat!
Here at my own home I have had large flocks of robins eating from the Bradford pear tree. The berries on my tree are almost gone.
We have quite a bit of winter left, I hope the robins will be able to find plenty of food. Between the starlings and the robins the trees in the surrounding area are almost stripped clean.
I do hope this is a sign of early spring. I am so ready for it!

My husband, just a few days ago, commented about all of the robin's we are seeing. I don't think we ever had robin's in the winter.

I remember one January day last year we had dozens of robins come to our garden-I had never seen so many at one time before. this year I haven't seen any.

So many robins! I thought they'd be farther south. Great pictures. I also peeked down your postings and absolutely love the wreaths you made to fee the birds. What a beautiful sight, I love robins, the ones we get here are much smaller and normally you only see one at a time.
We too have had lots of Robins forced into town to the berry trees since there is so much snow cover. Poor things. Your photos capture their look of being cold. Hopefully they have enough energy to fly south if it stays like this much longer.
I think Robin's are a sign of spring ~ I don't think I will be seeing them anytime soon where I live!

With all the birds I have down here in SC, I am surprised I haven't seen any Robins. Maybe they aren't the woodland type. Love your photos, as always.
Hopefully the robins know something we don't I so hope winter ends early since it started so early.
All those robins - that's just amazing. And as always, your photos are fabulous. I hope your puffy little friends keep finding food sources in all the cold. I wish we had robins here, but I have lots of cardinals that provide us with those wonderful bursts of color in the winter woods.

Last year that Thankgiving, I saw the first and only robin I have ever seen in our garden! I love your photo of the robin tree - amazing!

Being optimistic and hope that the robins represent an early spring!
Mom always said that when you saw Robins it was a sure sign of Spring that it was on its way. Your pictures are very lovely.
How cool to have so many! We usually have quite a few but our count is down from last year. I guess they are all hanging out at your house :)
We have seen large flocks of Robins this month too. They travel with flocks of cow birds here.

Robin such a pleasant sight seeing so many Robins at one time...are they chirping as they do in Spring?
I sure hope they all survive the winter ok.They are my favorite bird..named my daughter after the "Robin"
