Pink on Parade For Valentine's Day
Angela from the Cottage Magpie gave a challenge to do a post on pink things around our homes. It was very easy for me to find pink things because I love feminine things and use a lot of floral patterns in my home. Usually I'm drawn to the rose patterns with pinks and reds. When selecting journals or notebooks, I also usually go for the most feminine floral ones.
I'm also drawn to pink flowers in the garden. For some reason, they are the ones that make me the happiest. Since I've become interested in photography, I've discovered that pink flowers are generally the easiest to photograph.
Without further delay here are my pinks on parade.
~Happy Valentine's Day~
Your pinks are ALL gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWhat is the name of that Dianthus in the first photo? Very nice, especially with the dewdrops.
Beautiful pinks Robin! Happy Valentine's Day to you too. :c)
ReplyDeleteI love your pink things Robin. Lovely. Happy Valentines Day to you too.
ReplyDeleteOkay, that's a LOT of pink.
ReplyDeleteThat Robin in the birdbath makes me smile every time I visit here. :)

Bravo! This was a beautiful show, Robin. Pink is one of my favorite colors, too.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentines Day!
Wow - your things are pretty in pink! I loved the flowers, and we have some of the same pink tea cup patterns!! Your vintage china pieces are beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed looking at your 'pinks'. I too have quite a bit of pink, along with cobalt blue (my truly favorite color). Now that I've seen your Valentine's Day page, I think I will go around the house and photograph a few of my 'pinks'. I may need to wait a few days to post them however, because today we are having all of the windows in our entire house replaced--and as you can imagine, my 'stuff' is everywhere! I just have a question: where are you getting these flowers to photograph in the midst of winter??
ReplyDeletePinks on Parade for Valentine's Day... I loved the caption and enjoyed your lovely pics. Happy Valentine's Day, Robin!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Susan
Connie, thank you. The Dianthus is called Raspberry Surprise.
ReplyDeleteJan, the pictures are in my archives on the computer. I took them last year. I sure wish they were blooming now!
I'm swooming over how pretty everything is! Wowza! What a gorgeous post. I love it. Thanks for joining in the fun!
ReplyDeleteAngela :-)
Hi Robin,
ReplyDeleteI like your pink - be it flowers, bone china or glass.
The purpose of my book review yesterday is to encourage people to read 'Flower Confidential' and to draw your own conclusions on this subject. It is worthwhile thinking about, just as many people feel it is important to think about our sources of food.
Robin, I loved the pink flowers..your photography is great. I really was interested in your other pinks. I have a few pieces but would have a whole houseful(especially the chintz) if Ihad the room and someone to dust them for me!
ReplyDeleteRobin: You are right, pink makes me smile, also! Love all your pinks! The pink tulips are especially delicious!
ReplyDeleteRobin, such beautiful pinks! My favorite has to be the purple cone flower, I could stare at that pattern all day long.
ReplyDeleteHi, I featured your blog in my column "My top 10 blogs for gardeners", posted at www.positivelyfeminine.org
ReplyDeleteI would love you to visit my new blog and say hi (again) and maybe link to me.

Robin: I wish I would have read this post sooner. I was late publishing my "pink" post but went ahead and put it up anyway yesterday and the title: parade of pink. Hmmmm... great minds think alike? Sounds good to me. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love all the choices of pinks and your photos are outstanding! You have a wonderful gift with your camera eye.
Hope you had a happy valentine's day.
"Pink on Parade" -- what a fun post!
ReplyDeleteI'm so amazed with your photography. I'm still trying to learn! Thanks for stopping by today and I'll sure be visiting you lots. I hope to be attracting lots of birds and such to my new backyard. I've gone totally organic this year. That should make the critters happy.
ReplyDeletePretty in pink! I really like the teacups. There are no pinks here in my garden yet, but you've given me inspiration!
ReplyDeleteHi Robin,
ReplyDeleteI've just realised I've visited your current home town! Hubby and I competed in the World Masters swimming championships in Indianapolis in 1992 and went on a July 4th Steam Special that trundled its way through Noblesville. It was a great day - must go and hunt out the photos :)
Robin - I didn't realize you were in Noblesville -- my in laws are about 5-10 miles from you in Arcadia and we go to visit several times a year. I shop in Noblesville all the time...small world! Do you grow amazing peonies like everyone up there seems to do?
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing all the pretty pinkness! Pink is my favorite color! :)
