Peony flowers make some of the best bouquets. I love the ones with so many petals that they can barely hold their heads up. What are the names of your peonies?

Robin...I've enjoyed your last few posts! I've only been to White River Gardens once and thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the butterfly pavilion! I need to take my 6 grandkids to the zoo! -- I too have the blue-eyed grass & it has been so pretty. Just last night I noticed one of mine looks like yours & couldn't imagine what had happened. I'm wanting more of it & can't find it. Do you know where to buy it? -- I live in Columbus-about 40-miles south of Indy & my daisies aren't blooming either! Mine are the Shasta daisies so maybe they bloom later. Lastly--my peonies have huge buds but none have opened yet. Not sure the problem on that either. I love your pics!

That is right...just peonies. If you have a few in a vase, the house is decorated. Your peonies are lovely.

Don't the peonies seem exceptionally pretty this year? Maybe because of the cool early. Yours are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.

Robin,

They are lovely peonies... Your photos makes me want to lean in to look in their faces and see if they smell as sweet as they look.

It is that time of the year in Indiana for sure! Some of the old peony plants in my neighborhood are stunning - particularly when they're in yards that have *nothing* else going on: no trees, shrubs or perennials, only grass. And beautiful, tough old peonies!

Robin, I love peonies! They remind me of beautiful cabbage roses. Jenny, my youngest daughter almost used peonies in her bridal bouquet but she changed her mind, I am really sorry she did that. You enjoy those wonderful blossoms of yours!

Absolutely gorgeous! I'm definitely gonna have to plant some peonies in my garden. Got any advice for zone 9?
