This is Exciting!

I was contacted Wednesday by an organization requesting permission to use my picture of the Indiana State Fair ferris wheel, that I had posted on my blog. They want to use it on the front of a brochure! How cool is that!

What is also exciting for me is that I had just signed up and paid for a photography class Wednesday morning. I did it with fear and trepidation. I enjoy photography, it is a fun hobby for me, but the thought of taking it to the next level is kind of scary. Getting this request on the very same day was a wonderful confidence booster just when I needed it. I feel like this is confirmation that maybe, just maybe I can do something more with my photography.

Oh yes it's a sign. Just look at that shot? It is amazing how you captured the whole ferris wheel with the wonderful skies as backdrop above and the colorful Fair surroundings below. Go for it girl.

Hello Robin,
I followed you to your blog from a comment you left on Pat's back porch musing on her beautiful cloches....I thought I was the only one in blog land that did not have a cloche.
Congrats on your picture----that is awesome but the picture is awesome....I loved it....I can see why they want to use it....so you start your portfolio.
I read one of your posts that your dad is going through chemotherapy....I will add him to my prayer list.
hugs
debbie

That is exciting, Robin! But this is such a great picture, it's no wonder they want to use it. I don't know what other skills or tips you will pick up in photography class, but you are already so talented that you'll be the head of the class!

What a wonderful confirmation to the next steps you're taking. I know about the "bit scary" - kinda like being at the top of that ferris wheel :)

Congratulations, Robin.

How fabulous Robin!!! I think it's a sign too. You know you have talent when you have something like this happen without ever taking a class. Congrats on the good news.

CONGRATULAIONS, Robin! How exciting! I'm not surprised though. I don't know if I've ever seen more beautiful photography on a garden blog than I see here on a consistent basis. You are one of the best, that's for sure.
