Changing

framed-woodpecker-cropped

It is a nasty rainy day, you know, the kind that zaps your energy and makes you not want to move. So, I'm taking advantage of the low energy and just sitting here playing with Blogger and Adobe Photoshop Elements. I'm trying to figure out how to do the copyright thingy, I've never been very good with using layers on Photoshop.

I'm also contemplating some changes on my blog. I loved the pink template, it was me, and I didn't think I'd ever change it. However, now that I'm using Flickr to upload pictures, they can't be enlarged and with the useless wide pink stripes on the sides of the blog I was limited in the size of pictures I could actually put on the blog. I think with this new look, I can add larger pictures if I want. Anyway, I'll try it for a while and see how I like it.

Hi there Robin :-)

A change is as good as a rest so they say :-D

I have to say I too had associated you with pink and I took a second take when your page came up - then I saw your photos :-D

Yep Photoshop and layers I struggle with that one too - hope you get sorted there :-D

I am always changing little bits of my blog too - I really enjoy doing that. Good luck with your new look/s I know they will take you a time to get used to it yourself but the opportunity to show larger photos will be good for you and all of us who enjoy seeing them when we visit.

BTW it is nice to see 'your' photo now too :-D

Robin, I like this change in your template. You take such good pictures it will be nice to be able to see them larger.

I am not so adventuresome. I am always afraid I will lose everything if I try to change anything on my blog. I would like to put pictures on the sidebar and other peoples blogs. Maybe this winter I will work with it more.

Robin, I'm with Lisa. Blogger scares the heck out of me but I'm going to upgrade my template during Christmas break, for sure, because I've been looking at my boring blog for a year now and I need a change.

I've been enjoying your blog - your photos are outstanding. I'd love to know what camera you use. It does a great job with your artful eye.

I'm off to add you to my blogroll!

Being a guy, pink isn't my color but I do like this new change! Picture sizes are what is keeping me from getting something new! I can't seem to find the perfect template to change to!

If you get the photoshop technique down, you may have to give a tutorial, Robin!
I have so much stuff on my blog after 18 months that I'm too chicken to attempt a change. But what you ended up with looks good... maybe Blogger deduced you needed some green for the winter?

Your photo is great!

I like the new look & the larger photos. You've inspired me to put up suet for the birds. Now if I can just figure out where to put it.

Hi Shirl, thank you for the kind comments.

Lisa, thank you. Stay tuned I'll soon do a quick tutorial for you on Blogger templates. It is very easy and safe to change.

Hi Mary, thank you for stopping by. I use the Sony Alpha 100 with the 70-300 zoom lens for these bird photos. For macros I use my Sony F717 or Canon A630.

Glad you like the change Mon@rch.

Annie, I don't think I will ever figure out Photoshop and if I do it will be an accident that I could never explain.

Thank you, Connie.

Mr. McGregor's Daughter, I had never used suet either, but it attracted the downy very quickly.

Hi Jen! Glad you like it!

Apple, thank you for the kind comment, you made my day!

The new outfit for your blog looks great (and very seasonal too) and I like it that you now have the opportunity to have bigger pics on your blog. I love the pic with the cute little woodpecker, it's great!

Robin,
I've been searching through your blogs to see if I could find out what template you are now using. I also want to get larger photos on my blog but am limited by my template, which has those wide blank areas on the sides. Would you mind telling me what template you are using? If I use it I promise to change it up enough from yours. :-)
Thanks,
Jean
