Osteospermum is definitesly my favorite annual, especially the purple, but I might have to get some scarlet sage if it would lure hummers. Great shots!

Mr. McGregor's Daughter, the hummingbirds loved the scarlet sage. I collected seeds and will be planting lots more of it this year.

Those are the most exhilarating photos. The hummingbird is my fave. I have often tried to snap them, only to get blurs. Do you use a special lens or setting or both? So beautiful.

Frances, I have an Sony Alpha 100 and I use the 70-300mm zoom lens.
I also put the hummingbird feeder right in front of the window so I can see them better. I have several posts on hummingbirds with pictures on my sidebar. They are hard to photograph for sure.

Robin, those are very lovely. I have zinnia photos very much like yours - for a long time, zinnias were my favorite photographic subject and they are wonderful for attracting butterflies.
