I have several graduates that I need to have cards for and decided that I wanted to create my own cards this year. I bought a dozen roses today and borrowed my daughters graduation cap from 2005. I picked a few flowers from the garden and created an arrangement using the cap. Since I had the roses anyway, I decided to take pictures and play.

Beautiful shots. The Lamb's ears really compliments the soft color of the roses.
Well aren't you smart?
Very clever idea Robin. We had a bunch of grads to acknowledge this year. Like your idea....wish I had thought of it. ;-)
The roses are such a soft color and your arrangements look lovely. Some graduate will be blessed by the thoughtfulness of handmade cards.

Receiving a homemade card is a wonderful gift...any graduate would be happy to receive your lovely card!
Robin, thanks for coming by! What beautiful roses, those are gorgeous. I'm sorry you had to move away from AL, but hopefully you can still garden where you are now. I love it here in B'ham so much even though I was raised in ATL.
Great idea and gorgeous cards.

What a wonderful idea, Robin! The grads will love the beautiful handmade cards. And how creative to use the graduation cap as a vase!
I am amazed at the diversity of creativity God has planted in His people! You truly are gifted in seeing and capturing the beauty in your own garden. It blesses all who see it here - and I'm sure the graduates will be blessed, too!
I love handmade cards and this is so special. What a nice idea.
Your roses are a beautiful shade and the lambs ears really go well with them! Your arrangements are so creative--and gorgeous, too! You'll be taking orders for cards after people get their hands on these!!! Jan
Those roses are beautiful! Nice shots!
Hi Robin. What a fantastic idea to combine the graduation hat with the flowers. All the more perfect if the graduates were from the same school and had the same colors. I usually make my own cards for almost every occasion but this year, I bought graduation cards. Can you believe it?
Good job Robin..the roses are delightful!
Really creative and lovely! g
Robin, such a lovely arrangement! the roses are a beautiful color and the white daisys and lamb's ear compliment them very well. A wonderful present to the graduates-to present them with a specially designed card.
Your posts are once again not showing up in my sidebar. :(
Dear Robin,
I love the idea of using the cap as the vase! Lovely cards.
I am keeping you and your loved ones in my thoughts.
I remember the stress I had when my Mother was in a nursing home.
Glad to know you are having fun and taking good care of you!
I enjoyed a cup of tea and a nice visit catching up with you and your blog.
Our rains have stopped so I think I will go for a walk.

Wow! Gorgeous flowers! Love the color! If you don't mine, I plan to link my block to yours! I'll be back.
Every occasion is better with flowers
I have to hand it to you on the rose/daisy arrangement. That is beautiful.
As the mother of a recipient of one of your graduation cards, I can attest to the fact that they are beautiful AND amazing!!! I love seeing how the talent and creativity God has given you has "blossomed" :-) the last few years.
Love you!
