Fall Color

The cosmos are still going strong and they are about the only flowers in my garden that are providing pollen for the bees.

It has been quite chilly so I don't expect to see bees in the garden much longer, in fact I was pleasantly surprised to find this one sleeping. It had been drizzling earlier and he still looks a bit wet. He was so cute that I almost took Gail's challenge and reached out to pet him. I've been stung several times and the pain is still too fresh in my memory to chance it, but it was very tempting.

The leaves are such brilliant colors right now.

The maple trees are the most glorious shades of red, orange and yellow.

I spotted a cluster of trees on my way home from running errands yesterday and just had to stop and get a few pictures of the gorgeous leaves.

Such amazing colors!

I try to enjoy it and soak in the beauty as often as I can because it won't be long before the leaves are all on the ground and the trees are bare.

You do still have pretty color in your garden. I bet that little bee would have fallen off his perch if you would have touched him. He looks so cold and wet. I hope you have a good weekend.

Robin, I really enjoy your images. Lovely autumn color. Thanks, I kind of miss the fall color change living down here in the Keys.

Awesome maple leaves! The cosmos looks great too. Colors haven't reached us yet here in TN, at least not completely.

I think we all had late cosmos to enjoy this year! I found the autumn foliage to be gorgeous this year, but the rainy weather has kept me from photographing it. I see it didn't stop you! Glad you enjoyed my Sedona pictures, there are a few more to come, of course.

Beautiful photos of fall Robin. We are just beginning to see the golden colors and the orange of distant maples. The cosmos is delightful and good for the bees! Oh, that bedraggled bee looks cold~~and very tempting to touch. The bumbles don't seem to mind, but the honeybees don't invite close friendships;) Thanks for linklove~ and for considering the challenge! gail

robin,

our colour looks nothing like this...we are just to wet...so it is very muted. i love when the leaves turn these vibrant hues and everything seems colourful. it doesn't last long so enjoy.
all your shots are gorgeous.
i especially love the sleeping bee and the one leaf on the ground.
happy autumn.
