Swizzle Zinnia

Several people have made comments about this zinnia. I couldn't find the tag and didn't know the name, thankfully Apple correctly identified it for me. It is "Swizzle". I will definitely be buying some seeds for this winner. It has performed beautifully during our drought and it is very photogenic. I usually don't like bright colors in my garden and I'm drawn to pinks and purples, but this flower is a definite exception.

Those are beautiful, I will have to make a note of that name for next year. Do they get as tall as regular zinnia's?

Vonlafin, I'm not sure how big it will get, but right now it's pretty compact. I don't think it will get very tall though.

I love the swizzle zinnia, I jotted down the name and will try it next year. The insects pictures are good also. We got a muched needed rain also.

A stunning looking zinnia! It was on my seed order this year, but got bumped when I had to pare it down. You should try saving some seed from this one to plant...and see what happens, although it may be a hybrid?

I grew 'Swizzle' several years ago and saved the seed. Worked for me!

This is so similar to 'Zowie!' that I wonder why anyone would pay more for that one than this one. I think one is just as pretty as the other!

Kylee, the Swizzle and Zowie are so much alike, I've searched the internet for quite some time trying to decifer which one I have and as of yet I'm not 100% certain because they are so similar. I'm leaning more towards the Swizzle though. I'm glad to hear that you grew it from seed. I will certainly try to save the seed and see if I can grow my own. I do love it and wouldn't mind having this all over the yard.

Connie, too bad you couldn't grow this one, maybe next year.

Iowa gardening woman, glad you got some rain. We are getting more today.Three days in a row now!
