Water Features

I love water features and hope to one day add one to the garden for the birds and for personal enjoyment. The sound of water in the garden is so relaxing and it would help to drown out some of the noise from the common area and playground that is next to our property.

Here is a collection of photos that I've taken the last several years at the Indy Flower and Patio Show:

Which is your favorite?

I am most fond of the naturalistic looking fountains and falls. Of course if I was to win one or someone wanted to put one in for me I would take whatever I got. They are all beautiful.

We have a waterfall and 60 foot stream that circulates through it. We wanted a view out of our garden room and the waterfall does that.

As for favorites, it's really about suiting the setting and the style, rather than picking one that I like best.

I've used a wall fountain before (slate and copper) and I've made a fountain out of a glazed pot (very easy to do) that I've used at previous homes.

With all those choices it would be difficult to chose just one.We have a small pond and waterfall and it certainly is bird magnet.

I like the first one in the second mosaic. There is just something so peaceful and serene about those stone, zen waterfalls.

The blue pot at the top of the page is my favorite. Love the subtle waterflow.

I love the water feasture in the bottom group, the one with all the little birds!

I love water features and I have a few in my courtyard garden.

I love water features, too, and the closest thing I have is a bird bath. I would love to have a fountain or a pond (or both!) some day. You presented some beautiful ones. I hope we both get the water feature of our dreams!

I wish I had enough space in our little patio for this feature=(

These are all so beautiful! I can just imagine how relaxing it would be to sit by one of these and hear the soothing sound of rushing water. I'm like you, Robin--I would love to add a water feature to my garden one of these days. Just a simple one like one of the pots in the first few photos would be enough for me.

As usual, I seem to be playing catch-up with blog reading...congratulations on your success with your diet! I'm getting motivated now because my daughter is getting married next year, but I still haven't reached the point of giving up chocolate cold turkey:)

I absolutely loved McNamara's display last year with the concrete "crocks" & the birds. I found one like them when I got home...but could never make myself pay over $400. for one!!! Beautiful photos...

I don't think I've ever met a garden water feature I didn't like! But I love most here the pond and the fountain with the birds gathering round it. I love my new waterfall. To sit on the pavilion and watch the birds and listen to it, pure heaven!

I love the sound of water outside, too. And it's so nice to have fresh, moving water for the birds, too. They love to land and take a drink on the pineapple on top of my fountain where it bubbles up. Hope you get get your dream water feature.

I love water features in a yard. Lucky for us our jacuzzi has a waterfall into our pool. Plus we have a lion fountain in the back as well. And I did find a 2 tier water fountain for our front yard at the local rehab store for $25.00. Hubby had to do some fixing, but now it's as good as new. I love it. The sound of water is just so soothing. Thanks for visiting my blog & leaving me a comment.

Water features are a wonderful addition to a garden or patio. I don't have anything spectacular as shown but none the less I have sound and the birds love them. I have one solar fountain and one that runs off electricity. I have a total of 4 birdbaths all different depths for all size birds. I know you will enjoy the sound. Its a great way to de-stress.
