Mosiac Monday- The Farmer's Market

On Saturday, I finally made it to the Noblesville Farmer's Market again. I love taking pictures at the market, but I feel awkward doing so. People look at you funny when you take pictures of their peppers and puppies! I usually ask if it's OK to do so, but even asking makes me feel silly. I guess one day I'll get over the feeling of awkwardness when taking pictures in public places.

I bought Indiana sweet corn, green beans, onions, new potatoes, tomatoes, squash and zucchini. I cooked most of it over the weekend, and it was delicious! I hope to make some zucchini bread either today or tomorrow.

I'm participating in Mosaic Monday, hosted by Mary at the Little Red house.

Oh gosh, I always feel awkward, too. And my daughter will act as though she doesn't know me if I try to do that... :) Your images are so beautiful -- thanks so much for sharing at Mosaic Monday. :)

Sounds fun! You know, honestly, I feel that veggies especially cabbages are more delicious in US than here in Malaysia. I think it's due to the weather ...

Love your Farmer's Market Mosaic!

Me too...as far as feeling awkward about taking pictures out in public. I enjoy the pics some ladies take in the antique malls & gift shops, but I've never worked up the nerve to do it-yet!

Aren't you just loving this weather?

The produce all looks so beautiful and yummy but...it is those animals that made me smile! LOVE them, the bunny with the out of control fur, the HUGE spotted dog, the bulldog is just darling!

I'm glad you took all these even if people thought you a little wacky!!! Kim

Robin, what fantastic pictures! The colors are so vibrant. I love going to farmers markets. They have so many wonderful delectables and varieties. Zucchini bread is one of my favorites! It's such a delightful "fall" treat.

Marvelous Mosaic Monday post Robin. The Farmers Market is certainly an inpiration. All of those boxes of different colored berries is the best.

I used to feel the very same way but seem to be getting over it, or something. One lady actually said recently, "MY! But you are VERY assertive!" Seems I'm on my way toward being so anyway! LOVE your farmer's market shots!

Your farmer's market looks like a colorful and charming place when seen through the eyes of your camera! You will be happy to hear that I have officially taken my camera out of Auto mode, and have made some attempts at better photography. Time will tell if it works!

I know that feeling. I was taking senior portraits this summer in front of an antiques store (using a blue chair they had out front as a prop) and everyone was looking at us. I just bluffed my way thru it, like it didn't bother me because I didn't want my subject to get nervous! The produce at Farmers Markets is so beautiful it would be hard to resist taking pictures. You did a great job. I never remember to take my camera along to ours.

It's fun to take photos at a market, isn't it? So much abundance, so many personalities..I don't think I've seen a rabbit at one, but there are llamas that come to one market on occasion. Love the happy dog in the first shot.

Grin. I know what you mean, people look funny at you when you take pics of their peppers and other produce for sale. Glad you did though, as yours pics brought back fond memories of the Farmer's Market I visited in California a loooooooong time ago.

My favorite is the peppers spilling out of the baskets and the little baskets of berries. You have an excellent eye! I hide from people when taking pictures. I too feel as though I'm intruding on their privacy even if it is of what they are selling. If it's a craft item, I usually ask first cause they might not want it on the internet.

You take such wonderful photos I wouldn't worry about looking silly. I dream of being able to learn to use my camera and take beautiful photos like your's.

I feel awkward too, but I think people are proud of their produce and would give you permission.

I'm SO glad you braved your awkwardness and took these photos because they are gorgeous! I LOVE the one of all the flats of berries--SO beautiful! You've showcased how gorgeous produce can be with all the bright and rich colors. Thank you for the feast for my eyes today.

What a wonderful mosaic of fabulous produce and puppies. I have the same problem too, especially in foreign countries. Can I ask you? Is there a special program for doing the mosaic?

Mosaic Monday? What a nice thing to do. Your mosaic of pictures is really great. I know what you feel about taking photos in public. I have to get up my nerve to do that. But you got some great shots.

I like the mosaic...looks like fun to do.
I never had a problem taking photos in public unless someone has a copyright on something.
Now if I didn't buy anything it would be a different story.

Wow, Robin, your photos are stunning, like something you'd see in a magazine. You are such a talented photographer!
